The South Fulton CID Supports Economic Development

The South Fulton CID is poised to become a center of economic growth, in large part because of its existing transportation infrastructure and accessibility. I-85 directly feeds into the heart of the CID, and I-75, I-285, and I-20 are all easily accessible within a 10-minute drive. The area is just on the doorstep of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and the CID hosts one of CSX’s southern intermodal hubs, providing easy access to the Port of Savannah—the nation’s fastest-growing major port. The resulting growth has been transformative with substantial warehousing and distribution center development. To support this progress, the CID aims to deliver transportation improvements that will alleviate congestion and bolster access in the area.
